Be Part of Supporting an Incredibly Meaningful Cause
As a neurological practice providing all-in-one care, Neurology Associates Neuroscience Center offers access to naturopathic medicine. This means our practitioner, Dr. Marnie Whitley, ND, LPC, brings ideas that may not necessarily appear to mesh with traditional views of neurology. Take, for example, the upcoming Run for Ryan House, in which Neurology Associates is participating and which we are gladly sponsoring.
This annual run raises money for Ryan House, a 12,500-square-foot home in downtown Phoenix that extends respite and palliative care to children (and their families) facing life-limiting or end-of-life conditions.
Nov. 17 will mark the sixth time Dr. Whitley has taken part in the Run for Ryan House.
“I like doing events that have a good cause and I think their cause is awesome,” Dr. Whitley says. “When having to cope with illness, and a child’s terminal illness specifically, having services that address the needs of the whole family is tremendously impactful in helping to address the stress and can help mitigate the feeling of loneliness.”
Ryan House holds several fundraisers each year.
“Doing the run is just a small way to help support them and get awareness out to the community that they are there,” Dr. Whitley says. “A lot of people don’t know about them and there are likely families that may appreciate knowing – either now or in the future.”
When Neurology Associates’ CEO Ali Hajaig found out that Dr. Whitley was again participating in Run for Ryan House, he asked to have the clinic get more involved.
“This is such an incredible community cause,” Hajaig says. “I’m honored that Neurology Associates has the opportunity to support Ryan House and contribute to its success.”
Come join Ryan House and Neurology Associates on Sunday, Nov. 17, at Kiwanis Park for this special, truly meaningful day. We have several staff participating in the run (including Dr. Whitley!) and we’ll be on hand with a table to answer questions.
