Dr. Kari Patterson

General Neurology

Kari Patterson, M.D., earned her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 1994. She then spent three years pursuing an internal medicine residency and internship at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix. After that, Dr. Patterson headed to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles for her neurology residency, which she completed in 2000. Dr. Patterson stayed at Harbor-UCLA for her neurophysiology fellowship, finished in 2001. Since then, Dr. Patterson, who is Board Certified, has spent her neurology career helping outpatient and inpatient adults. She provides general neurology care and offers Botox injections for dystonia and headaches, conducts EMGs, and reads EEGs.


Dr. Patterson is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American College of Physicians.

In her spare time, Dr. Patterson enjoys a range of interests, including canine behavior and training (particularly with regard to the Australian Cattle Dog/blue heeler breed), nutrition and exercise, reading, hiking, drawing, and being with family.


Dr. Patterson joined Neurology Associates Neuroscience Center in November 2023 after nearly four years as the medical director of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona’s Medicaid segment.
