Join Us at the 2019 Phoenix Walk to End Alzheimer’s

As a neuroscience center, many of the patients we treat suffer from Alzheimer’s. And we would like nothing more than to see this condition eradicated. The costs – both human and financial – of this form of dementia are too high. We want to live in an Alzheimer’s-free world.

That’s why we are sponsoring and participating in the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Look for the Neurology Associates Neuroscience Center logo at water stations and refreshment tables along the two-mile route. We’ll be there in person, too, with a team of staff members ready to walk to support a cure for Alzheimer’s. We’ll be easy to find with our Neurology Associates t-shirts. Come say hello!

Join us on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Wesley Bolin Plaza in downtown Phoenix. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. Before the walk begins, the Alzheimer’s Association will hold what will, by all accounts, be a moving ceremony. Every participant will also receive a Promise Garden flower in a specific, symbolic color:

  1. Blue, for someone with Alzheimer's or dementia

  2. Purple, for someone who has lost a loved one to the disease

  3. Yellow, for someone who is supporting or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s

  4. Orange, for everyone who supports the cause and vision of a world without Alzheimer’s

Walkers may plant their flowers in the Promise Garden or make a dedication.

All the money raised goes to the Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter, which uses the funds to further its care, support and research efforts, including helping people in central Arizona affected by Alzheimer’s. We really appreciate that this nonprofit organization puts peoples’ donations to work in beneficial ways, and we are proud to be taking part in an event that changes lives.
